9 TIPS FOR FINDING TIME FOR YOURSELF
-MOXXY2

There’s no doubt about it, our days are much busier than our mother’s ever were. Although there is time in the schedule for all of the other priorities in your life, it seems that there’s just no time left for yourself. Yes, we like it busy. It’s fun to be involved, learning, and living. However, all of us need to recharge. If we don’t recoup and recharge we find that we feel too tired or even begin to resent those that we care about.

Don’t think there’s anytime for you? Well, think about how everything else gets done and apply the same technique to taking care of yourself.

First and foremost—schedule it!

Overcome the sense that it’s selfish to place your needs as a priority. Remember, if you aren’t energized, healthy, and balanced then those important family members, pets, co-workers, and friends will not be able to depend on you. So, look at your weekly calendar and start to think about where you fit in and what you need to do to reenergize.

Some ideas for your schedule:

· Exercise (gotta expend energy to gain it)

· Take a class for fun

· Meditate and reflect

· Go for a massage

· Participate in your favorite hobby

· Get a manicure or pedicure

· Send yourself flowers

· Take yourself to lunch

· Rent a convertible and drive, drive, drive

How can this get done you say? What about hiring someone to take over some of your responsibilities at least once a week to buy you some freedom? It could be a regular commitment such as having someone clean your house, mow the lawn, or take over your car-pool day. Other time delegation savings can be gleaned from hiring someone to walk your dogs, pick up your children from day-care, or deliver your groceries.

Also, once or twice a year, get away for a full day or more. This will take more planning, but you are worth it.

Some ideas for an extended getaway:

· Spa

· Cruise

· Vacation

Invest in yourself and everyone around you will benefit.
